Keep Calm and Celebrate with Mom

Moms Weekend begins with the 6th annual Kick-Off Reception (formerly Enjoy Illinois) in the Illini Union on Friday April 4, from 5:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. in the Illini Rooms. At this reception, you will have the opportunity to interact with various groups on campus that will be hosting their own events and services throughout Moms Weekend.  The Other Guys, members of the University's award-winning Varsity Men's Glee Club, will be performing, refreshments and appetizers will be served and we will be drawing for a free hotel room in the Illini Union Hotel for Moms Weekend 2015.

One mom will be awarded the prestigious Amelia Alpiner Stern Mom of the Year Award during the Keep Calm and Celebrate with Mom Reception. Named for the founder of the Moms Association, this award recognizes the support, encouragement, and inspiration that moms and/or mother-figures offer their students. The award highlights the diverse contributions of all Illinois mothers and mother-figures and honors a very special Mom each year with a small token of appreciation. Information about nominees and finalists will be posted at a later date.
